Common sense and banter – do they no longer exist?
Common sense was always a point of contention though. Some people or a lot of people were never gifted with this dark art. Even back in the day, many people were simply unable to register any common sense on the scale of life.
Banter though has shifted…’You Can’t say that’ seems to be the most spoken sentence nowadays.
Where did the world go sideways?
Social media? Facebook? Instagram? What changed the dynamics?
There are pockets of people who still understand the joy of banter and a great wind-up. However, the real teasing and playful banter seems to be a dwindling art.
Offence is taken and people just look at you with disgust and horror.
To be the social hand grenade nowadays is almost a joy. It is becoming fun to find people’s limits.
Old-fashioned wind-ups are now almost lost.
I will laugh in my head instead.
