Looking after yourself as a priority is hard.

Life is full of noise.

Home stuff, work stuff and general life stuff.

Soon it becomes easy to drop the self care, the management of whats works to keep you as the human performing at a good 80 % plus of your abilities.

This has and is an ongoing battle for me. Everything can get in the way. The mental games one has to play to convince myself that the gym on a weekday evening after a 10 plus hour day is something you really want to do. The gymnastics of the mind are real.

The doing is the win. This is what creates habits. Habits that ensure we must put our own oxygen mask on first. Feed yourself the good stuff for your mind and body and you can have the power to step up for others when it is needed.

Find what makes you tick. Is the gym, a dog walk, ice skating what brings you joy and makes life feel good. Find it and do it often. Do it when the mental gymnastics is pulling you to the sofa after work. This is what sets you apart in your life.

It is your life. You are not only your work.

Do you understand?

I am getting better at this understanding. I see it as a battle in the bigger battle of lifes ongoing war.

Today i dipped in the reservior. Why? No effing idea but I most certainly feel alie after it. The tinnitus volume lowers and the body has more energy.
