Death is guaranteed.

Death is something that comes to us all. There are those that understand death as they have experienced it with friends, family etc.

Then there are those that some would say are lucky that have yet to experience the death of a friend or family member.

2 camps in life. Those that get death and those that do not.

I remember walking around in a haze and feeling frustrated at people out and about living their lives laughing and joking and happy. I could not see the wood for the trees from the death trauma. The trauma that reignites every anniversary or when another death happens.

Time is a healer. I never understood this. I could not see it. Years have passed since I witnessed death and yes it does heal. There is a plaster on the trauma and it can creep loose at times. Be mindful when it creeps loose, put a fresh plaster on, and move on.

Those that are dead do not choose you dwelling on what could have been. It is what it is.

How we deal with death is personal, and everyone has a different experience.

I still believe that there are 2 types of people though.

Those that get the trauma and grief. Those that do not. One day those that do not understand will experience the pain and join the camp that does get it.

Remember:

Some people will show up and check in with you for a while, then drift away. They forget.

Those that do not drift away are your team. These people give a shit.

Build your own personal team. Even if it is just yourself.

No one cares. People are too busy dealing with their own shit.
